Almost every musician wants to be famous, and sharing music is part of the daily routine.  Not only do musicians create music  that they want others to hear, they need to share tracks with band members who are sometimes at a distance.  As the Internet has evolved to bring people together, musicians now can exchange, combine, add, and subtract their tracks without ever being in the same room or even country.  Using software like GarageBand for Mac, a musician can record his or her part, send the tracks digitally, and another musician can sync these tracks together.  Once a musician has created music that he or she wants to publish, the next step is to find a place to host the audio file.  This is where it’s important to pick the right solution.
