Different people have tried to solve this problem in many different ways: new external data storage devices (floppy disks, CDs, DVDs, USB flash drives, external hard disk drives, etc.) that can be physically shipped to the person in need have been invented and several network protocols (FTP, FTPS, SSH, etc.) have been developed to send files fast and reduce the time of delivery. How do you send it?

One may ask - Why isn’t external data storage devices good enough to do the trick if nowadays one can have 16 GB USB flash drives that should be enough even for those who have really big files? But imagine situation when person that needs the file is in different city, country or even continent? How fast can your shipping company deliver it and how much does it cost? Can You always afford to wait a day, two or even more?
